Tupac was and will always be Rap Music. People may not agree with some of the things he said, but he spoke about what he knew. I think that everyone could find one song that they can relate to in one way or another. He was a multi-talented young black male who did his thing and lived his life to the fullest. I admired him because he wasn’t afraid to be who he was. You could put on his CD and get the party started, just let the CD play. There is so much to say about that extraordinary man. In closing I would like to say that rap music took a big loss and even though you gone you will never forgotten!!!!

Tupac Shakur was born Lesane Parish Crooks in Brooklyn, NY in 1971. While still a small child, his mother changed his name to Tupac Amaru after an Inca Indian revolutionary, "Tupac Amaru", meaning "Shining Serpent". "Shakur" means "Thankful to God" in Arabic. By the age of twelve, Tupac had discovered his loves for acting, writing love songs and poetry. As a young teen, his family moved to Baltimore, MD, where he attended The Baltimore School for the Performing Arts studying acting and ballet. At this school, Tupac left a lasting impression on his teachers and was showing tremendous potential. Unfortunately, Tupac was unable to continue his training. He moved to Oakland, California with the rest of his family. That’s when Tupac began to, as he called it, "Hang with the wrong crowd."

Not held back by his lack of formal education, Tupac joined the Rap group Digital Underground as a roadie/dancer/rapper. Not long before the group achieved award winning success, Tupac released his own album "2Pacalypse Now", which was also a success. The hit single "Brenda’s got A Baby" launched Tupac’s career like a rocket. His stunning talent also got him a role in the motion picture, "Juice". Tupac eventually released a second album "Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z.," which was an even bigger success and introduced Tupac’s music onto the pop charts.

The highlight of Tupac’s acting career came when he appeared in "Poetic Justice" besides Janet Jackson. The role made Tupac a household name and showed the world that music may not be Tupac’s 1 attribute. In the midst of a role in the movie "Above the Rim" and a Platinum album "Me against the world," Tupac’s rising career was snagged. A woman he met at a night-club brought him up on sexual assault charges. Hours before Tupac would be found guilty, men robbed Tupac at gunpoint whose intent and purpose is still uncertain. Tupac was eventually released at over $1 Million in bail. After his release, Tupac answered his critics by releasing his best album, "All Eyes On Me." "All Eyes on Me" has currently sold over 6 million copies, which is revolutionary for a double cd, especially in Hip-Hop music.

Tupac also had co-starring roles in three other films, "Gridlock’d", "Bullet", and "Gang Related." Tupac Shakur was shot by unknown gunmen and died on September 13, 1996.

On June 1988 Tupac`s family moved to Marian City, CA. Shortly after, Tupac moves in with a neighbor and starts selling drugs. In August 1988 Mutula Shakur, Tupac`s stepfather, is sentenced to 60 years in prison for his involvement in a 1981 armoured-car robbery. In 1992Tupac Shakur appeared in the Ernest Dickerson film “Juice.”

Is Tupac Alive?

Most of his fans think he is alive, (over 83% in a recent survey) still hold on to the belief that Tupac Shakur may still be alive. There are many suspicious details about his departure that contribute to this. 2Pac died on Friday the 13th... Tupac "died" in Las Vegas, which is a payoff city, meaning, all sorts of folks have been known to be on the take. That means doctors, press, lawyers, etc. The white Cadillac containing the assailants was never found... How could this be when Vegas is in the middle of a desert? There were never any pictures released of Tupac in the hospital. In the song "Life Goes On", Tupac raps about his own funeral.

The driver of the car, in which Tupac was riding, Suge Knight (the executive producer of Death Row Records) didn’t show up for questioning about the shooting. The video "I ain’t Mad at Cha" was released only a few days after his death. "I ain’t Mad at Cha" is track 13 on the album All Eyes On Me. The video shows Tupac as an angel in heaven. In the video, Tupac was shot after leaving a theatre with a friend, which is very similar to how he was shot in real life. Interestingly, Tupac dies in his last video released under the name "Tupac". His new video "Toss it up" from the new album was released under the name "Makaveli". The second video to be released by the name Makaveli is "To live and Die in L.A." But how could they shoot the second video when he is "dead". In the video "Hail Mary" released under the name Makaveli, there is a gravestone that says Makaveli. But the gravestone is cracked and there is a hole right in front of it, inferring that Makaveli rose from the dead. A shooting involving Snoop Doggy Dogg occurred close to the release of his album Doggystyle. The shooting made Snoop appear more "real" and showed his fans that he really was a gangster. The shooting gave him respect because everyone that bought his album believed what he was talking about. Within one week of its release, Doggystyle went platinum. Snoop is signed to the same label as Tupac, which is Death Row Records. In December ’96, Tupac’s new album went platinum.

In interviews prior to the shooting, Tupac talked about how he wanted to stop rapping and being a gangster and get out of the limelight. What is the only way Tupac could completely escape the media spotlight? (Answer: if the public thought he was dead.) There are no suspects for the shooting. Press wasn’t going to be allowed at the funeral, but then the funeral was cancelled for unknown reasons. Tupac always wore a bullet-proof vest, no matter where he went. Why didn’t he wear it to a very public event like a Tyson fight? (Because he wanted to make it seem like he could be shot.) Tupac officially died at 4:03 PM. 4+3 = 7 Also he "died" at an age of 25 years. 2+5 = 7 it seems as if seven is Tupac’s number. There is nothing in the new album that says TUPAC RIP 1971-1996.

I wrote about Tupac because I love his songs and he is my idol in rap music. This is all I know about this rapper who somebody think is dead. But is he?????? No body knows if he is dead or alive but I think Tupac is alive. But if he is dead let him R.I.P. That means Rest in peace.
