The 47 year old, first time senator from Illinois shattered over more then 200 years of American history, when he on the 20th of January took place in the oval office, appointed as the new president of the united states.

“It’s been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America,” where the words he said to the crowd.

He were a eager politician already in his young years, he served as the senator from Illinois in a period from 2005, until he resigned after being elected as the president in November 2008. After a close campaign agains Hillary Clinton in the spring 2008, Obama became the major party candidate for president agains McCain.

 

On January the 20th, Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, were inaugurated into the white house, and promised us and the rest of the united states a change, a change that would get the dream of a free democracy and peace throughout the world accomplished.
